METHOD FOR ASSESSING EFFECTIVENESS OF PHASED ELIMINATION DIET THERAPY OF GASTROINTESTINAL FOOD ALLERGY IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2689796 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to allergology in paediatrics, paediatric gastroenterology. Described is a method for assessing the stage-based dietary therapy of gastrointestinal food allergy in children induced by cow milk protein. Method includes cofiltration of child with determination of faecal calprotectin and faecal zonoline level. Determination of content of zoneline and calprotectin is carried out on 1, 5–7, 21–28, 56–60, 84–90 day from the beginning of diet therapy by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. If the level of faecal zonolin is lower than 1.0 ng/ml and the faecal calproprotectin is less than 100.0 mcg/g, the effectiveness of the conducted elimination diet therapy and the possibility of transition to the next stage are stated.

EFFECT: method provides a safe non-invasive assessment of the effectiveness of treating food allergy in children of any age and enables to obtain reliable information on the course of the disease, which is necessary for timely determination of pathogenetic therapy.
