METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE COURSE OF INFLAMMATORY DISEASES OF THE NERVOUS SYSTEM IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2689797 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and represents a method for predicting the course of inflammatory diseases of the nervous system in children by determining the levels of neurospecific proteins, characterized by that in the acute period of the disease, the level of the metabolite vitamin D – 25(OH)D and neurospecific proteins is determined: glial fibrillaric acidic protein (GFAP) and S100 protein in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and obtained values are added to formulas for calculating a linear discriminant function – LDF 1 (complicated course) and LDF 2 (uncomplicated course): LDF1=-318.25+(-13.69×X1)+0.065×X2+17.06×X3, LDF2=-276.22+(-12.15×X1)+0.054×X2+15.99×X3; where X1 is concentration of GFAP, ng/ml; X2 is protein concentration S100, ng/l; X3 is concentration of 25(OH)D, ng/ml; and if LDF1 is more than LDF2, a complicated course of the disease is predicted, and if LDF2 is more, LDF1 is uncomplicated.

EFFECT: invention provides higher accuracy of early prediction of disease course.
