FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to infectious diseases, paediatrics, anaesthesiology-resuscitation, and can be used for differential diagnosis of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children associated with SARS-CoV-2, Kawasaki syndrome or infectious diseases complicated by sepsis. Following is determined: sex, age, skin and mucous membrane involvement, nervous system involvement, thrombocyte and procalcitonin level; the obtained values are entered into the formula for calculating linear discriminant functions.
EFFECT: method enables the timely diagnosis of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children, the timely prescription of a therapy aimed at suppressing the hyperinflammatory response, which has a positive effect on the outcome of the disease, improves the child’s quality of life and prevents the development of remote complications by assessing the aggregate of the most significant indicators.
