METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF NONSPECIFIC COMPLICATIONS OF ACUTE INTESTINAL INFECTIONS WITH HEMORRHAGIC COLITIS SYNDROME IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01N33/50

Abstract RU 2704132 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to pediatrics and infectiology, and concerns prediction of nonspecific complications of acute intestinal infections with hemorrhagic colitis syndrome in children. That is ensured by evaluating the severity of the intestinal infection by Clarke's index, hemogram values, blood alanine aminotransferase level, then linear discriminant functions LDF1 (no nonspecific complications) and LDF2 (development of nonspecific complications) are calculated according to formulas developed taking into account these factors. LDF1 and LDF2 values are compared, and LDF2>LDF1 predicts a high risk of nonspecific complications.

EFFECT: method enables accurate prediction of the risk of developing nonspecific complications at an early stage of the disease and prevention of nosocomial infections.
