FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the measurement of the hydroacoustic antenna characteristics. Proposed device for measuring the directional characteristic of a hydroacoustic antenna contains a radiating and receiving channels, where the emitting path comprises a sequentially connected drive oscillator (DO), a power amplifier and a radiating antenna (AR), and the receiving path comprises a series-connected pickup antenna (AP) and a first prime amplifier (PA1), and a processing and registration circuit (PRxC) including a recorder, wherein the antennas AR and AP are mounted on the first and second lifting and tilting devices, respectively, and are located at a distance L, and the DO and the recorder are connected by a synchronization cable. It is proposed to insert into the device into the PRxC a sequentially connected first memory device, a correlator, a second memory and a normalization unit, and also a third memory device, the output of which is connected to the second input of the correlator, wherein the input of the first memory device is connected to the output of the PA1, and the output of the normalization unit is connected to the input of the recorder. In addition, a second preamplifier PA2, and in the radiating path, a delay unit configured to shift the signal for time Δt=L/c, where c is the sound velocity in water, the output of the delay unit being connected to the input of the PA2, its output is connected to the input of a third memory device.
EFFECT: such a construction of the claimed device allowed to provide a reliable measurement of the directivity characteristic with a large dynamic range, as well as the ability to work with lower levels of radiated signals while maintaining the quality of the results obtained.
