FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method of determination of a two-stage gyro unit error consists of: installing a gyro unit on a stationary base; exhibition of the axis of precession in a vertical position; exhibition of the measuring axis in a position perpendicular to the plane of the meridian; closing of the feedback circuit the angular direction sensor - the amplifier-converter - the moment detector; the inclusion of a gyromotor; acceleration of the rotor to the initial speed of rotation; measuring the current in the circuit of the moment detector and measuring the speed of rotation of the rotor, turning off the gyromotor; the initial value of the speed of rotation of the rotor of the gyromotor is set at 10-30% higher than its rated speed, and the current in the feedback circuit and the speed of rotation of the rotor are measured continuously at its coasting.

EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the results of determining the error of the gyro unit, reducing the laboriousness of determining the error of the gyro unit.
