FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to monitoring of containers, in particular glass containers, and, in particular, to control of flatness of ring surface of such containers. Disclosed is a method of visually inspecting the flatness of the surface of a ring of a container, in which a ring surface is illuminated by means of a peripheral incident light beam containing radial light beams, with mirror reflection from the surface of the ring, using an optical system; forming a flat image of the surface of the container ring on the sensor with optical geometrical transformation, which converts the actual height difference (dZ) to radial displacement (dR) on the image, and radial displacement (dR) of image, corresponding to unitary real height difference (dZ), exceeds radial displacement of image corresponding to real radial displacement of same size. Invention also relates to a device and an apparatus for carrying out said method.
EFFECT: technical result is simplification of design, reduction of dimensions, as well as providing control of tanks in online mode both on line for production of containers, and on line for processing containers or on line of dispensing.
