FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device for monitoring inclination of containers (34) has a light source (50), lying below the container (34) and serving for transmitting light to the bottom of the container (62), when the container is held in the initial position and rotated about an axis (A). A light sensor (54) lying below the container (34) receives part of the light from the source (50), reflected from the bottom of the container (62). A data processor (56) is connected to the light sensor (54) for determining distance from the bottom of the container (62) to the plane, perpendicular axis (A), as a combined function of parametres of the reflected light and position of the container. Container (34) is held in the initial position and rotated about an axis through the roller of drive (24), which holds the container (34) opposite additional rollers (26, 28) lying in the axial position, such that it is possible to determine the middle axis of rotation as a function of the geometry of the container (34) and distance between the additional rollers (26, 28).
EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurement.
