FIELD: dynamic image sources.
SUBSTANCE: optical display system includes a light source, a control unit and a matrix of at least two adjacent elements with a double diffraction grating, each of which comprises a first diffraction grating and a second diffraction grating spaced from each other by a constant distance. Each of two grids has at least two edges and comprises at least one sequence of multiple strokes, the gap between which gradually changes from one edge of the grid to the other edge, wherein the first array diffracts the light wave from the light source to the second grid, and the wave is further diffracted by the second grid in the form of an output light wave in a given direction.
EFFECT: invention increases brightness, reduces overall dimensions of the system.
