SUBSTANCE: present group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to therapy, and concerns the treatment of asthma. For this purpose, an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition is administered comprising an antibody or its antigen-binding fragment, where said antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof specifically bind the interleukin 4 receptor (IL-4R). Moreover, said antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof includes sequences of the complementarity determining region (CDR), the heavy chain and the light chain from a pair of sequences of the heavy chain variable region (HCVR)/light chain variable region (LCVR) SEQ ID NO: 162/164.

EFFECT: this provides a reduction in the frequency of exacerbations of moderate to severe asthma and a decrease in the patient's dependence on inhaled corticosteroids and/or long-acting beta-agonists.
