FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an extruder and a method for extruding tire reinforced cord components. Technical result is achieved by extruder with extrusion head for extrusion of tire-reinforced components. Extrusion head comprises a die for receiving an extrudable material, flow channels which extend into the matrix, and a cord guide for guiding the cords into the matrix such that when using the cord, the material is embedded into the extruded material. Female die has an elongated cross-section profile which defines the first cross-section of the extruded material in the matrix. Profile of the cross-section has a profile width and a profile height which is relatively small relative to the width of the profile. At that, the cords guide is configured to guide the cords into the matrix at a certain height of cords input relative to the profile height. Extrusion head is provided with one or more first heating elements which are located at the matrix behind the flow channels downstream to transfer heat to the extruded material from the first side relative to the specified profile height in the matrix. Besides, the extruder additionally contains a control device which is functionally connected to the said one or more first heating elements to create an adjustable temperature gradient by height in the extruded material at the specified height of the profile for swelling control of the extruded material relative to the specified cords input height from the first cross section to the second cross section after extruding material from matrix.

EFFECT: technical result is exclusion of change of extrusion heads, to change position of cords relative to cross section of extruded material.
