FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely, to processing solid industrial and household wastes. In lower part of hollow body of melting unit, separated from its upper part with primary cooling system by horizontal partition, there is formed a device for cleaning liquid sodium, located between external and internal walls of housing, bottom part of housing and horizontal partition installed along body perimeter with gaps relative to its walls, wherein gap between said partition and inner wall of housing exceeds by value gap between said partition and outer wall of hollow housing, cooling zone of the liquid sodium purification device is located on the side of the external wall of the housing, which is cooled by the cold gas of the heat exchanger located above the hollow housing, wherein said heat exchange channel embracing outer wall of hollow body is separated from common heat exchange channel surrounding the rest part of hollow housing outer wall by means of said partition at section adjoining said cleaning device.
EFFECT: invention allows improving reliability of the unit due to simplification of its design and extension of its service life.
