FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing technology and relates to a catalyst for hydrogenation conversion of glycerol into simple alcohols, a method for preparing it and a method for hydrogenation conversion of glycerine into simple alcohols using said catalyst. Disclosed catalyst contains nickel nanoparticles on a support, which is represented by porous sulphated aluminum oxide with sulphate content of 2.0–7.2 wt%, with the following ratio of components, wt%: nickel – 5–30, sulphated aluminum oxide – the rest. Catalyst is prepared by impregnating sulphated aluminum oxide with an aqueous solution of a nickel compound of formula Ni(NO3)2⋅6H2O with subsequent drying at temperature of 110 °C, calcining at temperature of 350 °C and reduction in hydrogen current at temperature 500 °C. Sulphated aluminum oxide is obtained by mixing aqueous solution of aluminum isopropylate with nitric acid and treating the obtained mixture with ammonium sulphate at temperature of 90–95 °C. Method for hydrogenation conversion of glycerol into simple alcohols involves feeding 50 % aqueous solution of glycerol and hydrogen into a flow reactor heated to temperature of 280–320 °C stationary layer of disclosed catalyst at pressure of 20 atm. and raw material feed rate of 2.8 cm3/h.
EFFECT: high selectivity of producing 1-propanol and simplifying the process by reducing pressure.
