FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, to designs of optical modules and cables used in communication and information transmission systems, and in particular in ship cables, cables for geophysical investigations, cable-sensors of physical values. Cable contains optical fibers with protective polymer coating, placed in optical module of steel wires or strands, inner thermoplastic sealant and same outer sealant, located under outer protective shell from polymer.
EFFECT: high resistance of the cable to high hydrostatic pressures.
