FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrode material, preferably, to material of inert anode for production of aluminium in electrolysis cell by fire electrolysis. Material contains a metal core containing at least one alloy of nickel (Ni) and iron (Fe), and a cermet material containing at least in weight percent: 45–80 % nickel ferrite oxide phase with composition NixFeyMzO4, where 0.60 ≤ x ≤ 0.90; 1.90 ≤ y ≤ 2.40; 0.00 ≤ z ≤ 0.20, and M is a metal selected from aluminium (Al), cobalt (Co), chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), titanium (Ti), zirconium (Zr), tin (Sn), vanadium (V), niobium (Nb), tantalum (Ta) and hafnium (Hf), or is a combination of said metals; 15–45 % of metal phase (1) containing at least one alloy of nickel and copper.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining anode, conductivity of which provides required power consumption, longer service life of anode due to provision of required corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of inert anode and reduced contamination of obtained aluminum and bath of electrolyte on base of cryolite.
