FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nonferrous metallurgy, particularly to electrolytic production of aluminium with application of inert anodes of cast composite materials with corrosion-resistant coating of anode. Method of producing inert anode of cast composite material, one of components of which is a metal alloy of Cu-Ni-Fe system, and the other component of oxide coating, involving preparation of alloy of Cu-Ni-Fe, its overheating to preset temperature and filling in metal mold with subsequent formation of oxide coating on its surface, alloy of Cu-Ni-Fe preliminary modified with cerium in amount 0.02-0.04 wt% at temperature of 1,400-1,450 °C while stirring thoroughly is added with ferrite nickel powder with particle size of not more than 0.1 nm in amount of 5-40 wt%, which is preliminary synthesized and clad with metal protector.
EFFECT: technical result consists in production of inert anode with low specific electric resistance, high corrosion resistance in molten electrolyte with protective corrosion-resistant coating directly in the mold, efficient, easy to manufacture and higher quality of composite material.
