SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for sealing substance in a plurality of cells made on a substrate. Method involves introduction of a substance containing a hydrophilic solvent on a substrate, the introduction of a hydrophobic solvent with specific weight greater than the specific weight of the hydrophilic solvent on the hydrophilic solvent, wherein at least one of the hydrophilic solvent and the hydrophobic solvent contains a surfactant. Substrate has a plurality of substances capable of storing only one particle and separated from each other by a side wall of the cells; the substances are represented by a microbeads, nucleic acid, a protein, a virus, a cell or a lipid membrane complex.

EFFECT: invention provides efficient sealing of a larger number of substances.
