FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to communication devices using a low form factor transceiver. Module (5) of plug-in with small form factor (SFP) of optical transceiver includes housing unit (10), which accommodates fiber-optic connector (12), configured for connection to SFP optical transceiver (220), and retaining support (15), which is configured to be attached to the housing portion of network device (237) casing. SFP optical transceiver (220) is configured to mate the motherboard of the network device with fiber optics on a given port of network device (237). Housing assembly (10) is configured to be detachably latching on retaining support (15). Housing assembly (10) comprises base (50) and housing (55) connected to each other. Housing (55) has latch (65) to securely attach fiber-optic connector (12) and SFP optical transceiver (220) to retaining support (15), allowing to replace SFP optical transceiver (220) as required for reconfiguration of this port of network device (237).
EFFECT: improved system of mounting SFP transceivers in network applications.
