SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel 2,3-dihydro-1H-indole derivatives of formula (I), where R1 denotes C1-C4alkyl, benzyl (including one or more such groups as C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4alkoxy, halogen as substitutes in an aromatic cycle); R2 denotes methyl (if R1 does not denote methyl or benzyl and simultaneously R4 does not mean methyl), C2-C4alkyl, allyl, benzyl (including one or more such groups as C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4alkoxy, halogen as substitutes in an aromatic cycle); R3 denotes H, halogen, C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4alkoxy, NHC(O)C1-C4-alkyl; R4 denotes C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4haloalkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, C3-C6cycloalkyl, n denote integer from 1 to 2.

EFFECT: compounds have the properties of melatonin receptor ligands and can be used to produce a medicinal agent, as well as for treating and preventing ophthalmic diseases, such as glaucoma.
