FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to switched glasses which vary their light transmitting characteristics when applying the proper voltage. Permeable light transparent control panel (102) includes first and second layers (104, 106) of the transparent substrate and layer (112) of the device with suspended particles (SPD) there between. First transparent conductive layer (108) is between first layer (104) of the transparent substrate and SPD layer (112), and the second transparent conductive layer (110) is between second layer (106) of the transparent substrate and SPD layer (112). First electrode (114) is electrically connected to the first transparent conductive layer (108). Second and third electrodes (116, 118) are electrically connected to opposite ends of second transparent conductor layer (110). Difference (V1-V2) of electric potentials applied between the first and second electrodes (114, 116) controls the level of the light permeability coefficient of SPD-layer (112). Difference (V2-V3) of electric potentials applied between second and third electrodes (116, 118), which leads to transverse electric field, which heats the second transparent conductive layer (110), increases the rate at which the level of the coefficient of transparency of SPD layer (112) decreases when the difference (V1-V2) of electrical potentials applied between the first and second electrodes (114, 116) is reduced.
EFFECT: invention provides higher accuracy of adjustment of light transmission coefficient.
