SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering and can be used in evaluation of strength and determination of design and residual life of drums operating under pressure and header of boiler. Method of evaluation of strength and determination of resource of drums and header of boiler includes: formation of units of structural and constant data of drum and / or collector, materials, their mechanical and thermal properties, operating parameters, data on pressure and temperature of elements, cyclic loads from pressure pulsations and / or temperatures, microcycles at regime changes of load, type of fuel, other mode factors, hydraulic tests, main "start-stop" cycles, archiving, checking and data processing, real-time monitoring, implementation of mathematical models, calculation of voltages and resource, interface and results processing. At the same time unit of external loads on drum and / or collector and their unions and unit of stressed state of drum and / or collector with nozzles, which contains their finite-element models. Efforts acting on drum and / or header and their unions on the side of all structural elements connected to them are determined in unit of external loads. In stress state unit of drum and / or collector with nozzles zones of stress concentration, position of points of maximum stresses in these zones are determined and the greatest design stresses are selected.

EFFECT: invention increases accuracy of determining stresses in places of their concentration, service life or residual life of drum and header of boiler with their nozzles operating under pressure.
