SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanics, in particular to development and creation of devices for studying factors influencing efficiency of recuperative braking. Device for studying recuperative braking, consisting of truck with DC motor, supported by wheels, two of which are fixed on axis with possibility of free rotation, and third wheel by transmission of any known design is connected to electric motor axis, diameter of this wheel provides the value of gear ratio, which is conjugated with parameters of electric motor, is achievement at maximum speed of wheel installed power of electric motor, note here that trolley is accelerated by moving on inclined plane. Alternator is switched from idle to generator mode by connection of load, and result of regenerative braking is determined by distance to which bogie moves.
EFFECT: this allows performing experimental researches in the field of recuperative braking.
