FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanics and is a device (instrument) for studying mechanical interactions of physical bodies, namely, partially elastic impact interactions in a three-body system. Device in system of three physical bodies – bogie (1) and two equal in mass steel balls (2), receiving acceleration pulses at synchronous rolling down towards each other along inclined chutes (3) and smooth transitions (4) located across bogie (1), with subsequent change of direction of movement of each ball (2) by 90° when moving along smooth transitions (5) formed by walls vertically fixed on bogie (1). At that, pulse exchange between bogie (1) and balls (2) takes place when balls (2) move along smooth transitions (5) with change of direction of balls (2) movement by 90° and at impact interaction of balls (2) with flat screen (6) installed vertically and located across bogie (1). Result of pulse exchange of bogie (1) and balls (2) is evaluated by means of measuring scale (7).
EFFECT: creation of a mechanical system of three physical bodies, which enables to create impulse imbalance, which is necessary to obtain a useful effect, and enables to study partially elastic impact interactions in a system consisting of three physical bodies.
