FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanics and can be used to study partially elastic shock interactions in a system of two physical bodies. The device consists of a trolley resting on a horizontal surface and a steel ball, which receives an accelerating impulse when moving along a pipe mounted vertically on the trolley. In this case, when the ball moves, the momentum of the cart changes twice: when the ball moves along a smooth transition, when the direction of the ball's motion changes by 90°, and when the ball collides with a screen fixed on the cart vertically and across the cart. The result of the exchange of impulses from the cart and the ball is evaluated using a measuring scale.
EFFECT: technical result consists in possibility of studying the influence of various factors on the interaction of physical bodies, explaining the mechanism of impulse imbalance formation in a system of three bodies.
