FIELD: nuclear equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to silicon carbide element reinforced with continuous fibers, method of its production and to structural element of nuclear reactor. Silicon carbide element reinforced by continuous fibers has a tubular shape and has a first layer of composite material, a second layer of composite material and an intermediate layer located between the first and second layers. In the first layer of the composite material, continuous fibers of silicon carbide are combined with a matrix of silicon carbide. In second layer of composite material, continuous carbon fibers are combined with matrix of silicon carbide. Intermediate layer is formed from solid body of material selected from group consisting of titanium-aluminum carbide, vanadium-aluminum carbide, etc. First layer of composite material and second layer of composite material are arranged in pack.

EFFECT: invention improves mechanical properties and resistance to medium effects of silicon carbide element.
