FIELD: production of composite materials.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to high-temperature ceramic-matrix composite materials with reinforcement for use in shock-resistant and vibration-resistant structures in machine building, nuclear, defense, metallurgical industry. Composite material includes a matrix of SiC/C/Si ceramics with SiC content from 20 to 95% and molybdenum wire, wherein between the wire and the ceramic matrix there are additionally layers of molybdenum silicides. Method of producing the composite involves obtaining a porous carbon matrix and impregnating it with liquid silicon. Before impregnation with liquid silicon, holes with diameter of 0.8 d are drilled in the volume of the porous carbon matrix, and molybdenum wire with diameter d from 0.2 to 2 mm is placed in them. As a result of interaction of silicon with molybdenum wire between matrix and molybdenum wire there are layers of molybdenum silicides, which have continuous connected boundary with residual metal and ceramic matrix.
EFFECT: high resistance to destruction of silicon carbide ceramics.
