POROUS BIO-POLYMER MICROSPHERES FOR CONTROLLED RELEASE OF POSITIVELY CHARGED PROTEINS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING MICROSPHERES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61K9/14 A61K47/34

Abstract RU 2692768 C1

FIELD: medicine; pharmaceuticals.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to porous biopolymer microspheres for use as a carrier for positively charged therapeutic proteins. Disclosed microspheres have sorbent-cation exchanger properties, are made of biocompatible and biodegradable polymer, have average diameter in range of 10 to 1,000 mcm, have through system of pores with total porosity from 75 to 99 % and average pore size from 0.5 to 20 mcm, wherein biocompatible and biodegradable polymer has molecular weight from 1 × 104 up to 1 × 106 Da, obtained by bacterial synthesis and represents poly-3-oxybutyrate. Also disclosed are: a method of producing such microspheres, use thereof for binding with positively charged therapeutic proteins and a method of producing porous biopolymer microspheres with a positively charged therapeutic protein.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides obtaining material in form of microspheres with high porosity, capable of controlled sorption and subsequent prolonged release of positively charged therapeutic protein.
