METHOD OF PERFUSION COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY OF NEW GROWTHS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B6/03

Abstract RU 2692971 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Method for perfusion computed tomography (PCT) of new growths involves an imaging of a target affected organ. Patient is examined for PCT parameters in a tumour: BF - blood flow velocity, BV - blood flow volume, PS - vascular permeability, MTT - average transit time of blood. PCT parameters are also measured in the patient's healthy tissue. Normalized values "n" are determined by correlation of parameters of tumour perfusion to parameters of healthy perfusion. Functional state of the affected organ is assessed by comparing the obtained normalized values of perfusion values in a specific patient regardless of the tomography mark on which measurements were taken. Normal perfusion is measured in cerebral tumours on the contralateral hemisphere, lung tumours on the aorta, liver tumours - on its healthy part or on the aorta, in spleen tumours - on its healthy part or on the aorta. If observing pancreatic tumours, normal perfusion is measured in a healthy portion of the gland or on the aorta, in renal tumours - on the contralateral kidney, in prostate tumours - on its healthy part or on the aorta.

EFFECT: perfusion computer tomography when assessing the state of the affected organ before and after treatment on various tomographs.
