FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine facial profile disharmony in patients with distal occlusion of dentures. Face profile photometry is performed. Following points are determined on the obtained image: n - nasion - projection of the bone point N on the skin; pr - pronasale - nose tip; pg - pogonion - a front point on the chin contour; UL - upper lip; ILS - inferior labial sulcus - supra-spine fold. Values of angles pg-n-pr and UL-n-ILS are found. Then difference of these angles values is calculated. If difference of angles values is more or less than 22.2±0.29° Face profile disharmony is detected. At difference of angles values equal to 22.2±0.29°, the patient's profile is considered to be harmonious.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase accuracy of definition of disharmony of face profile in patients with distal occlusion of dental arches due to estimation of difference of most significant angles.
