FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to maxillofacial and plastic surgery, and can be used in planning genioplasty using an individual implant in patients with a harmoniously developed upper jaw. Craniometric analysis of a teleroentgenogram in a sagittal projection or a sagittal skull reconstruction after a computed tomography is carried out; a skull base line NS is constructed. Further, a Pg-SN triangle is constructed. Position of the chin is determined from the calculated point Pg of the triangle Pg-SN, taking into account that the angle of the vertex Pg of the triangle Pg-SN should be 34.2–38.6°.
EFFECT: method enables the accurate prediction of the result and higher efficiency of the chin contour plastic surgery with the use of an individual implant due to accurate calculations and modelling taking into account the harmonious type of the facial skeleton structure and angular parameters.
