FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and radiodiagnosis, and can be used for determining position of drusen disk of optic nerve in children. An optic disk is assessed by optical coherence tomography in EnFace mode. If the drusen are located on the periphery of the optic disk outside the scleral ring and without changing the stroke and the caliber of the large retinal vessels adjacent to the drusen, they are defined as peripheral. When drusen is located in the area of vascular funnel and when stroke changes and caliber of adjoining retinal vessel drusen are determined as central.
EFFECT: method provides more accurate determination of drusen localization relative to retinal vessels by evaluating the position of drusen relative to the scleral ring and vascular funnel, as well as stroke and caliber of vessels using EnFace mode of optical coherence tomography.
