FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and radiodiagnosis, and can be used as a ruler with applied scale for optic nerve drusen measurement. Druses are measured by means of ultrasonic examination (ultrasound), optical coherence tomography (OCT) and a personal computer. Best image of a drusen or a congregation of druses is transmitted to a software for viewing graphic images. Disc of the optic nerve irrespective of its physical size is enlarged with preservation of proportions to the size of scales so that scleral ring coincides with their extreme points. First ruler is intended for determination of relative size of druses and its scale is divided in length into 4 equal parts. Second ruler is intended for determination of depth of bedding druses, and its scale is divided in length into 3 equal parts. Both by printing and using a graphical editor having layers, when performing ultrasound, a first ruler is applied, optic disc is divided into 4 equal segments, and when drusis filled with one segment of the scale, they are designated small, two segments – medium, three segments – large, all four segments – giant. Both by printing, and using a graphical editor having layers support, during OCT a second line is applied, a disk of the optic nerve is divided into 3 equal sectors, and when the druses fill the lower sector of the scale, they are marked with deep lines, the middle sector – druses with medium bedding, upper sectors – with superficial ones.

EFFECT: device provides visual analysis of filling of the line segments with hyperechogenic inclusions recognized as druses.
