FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy and can be used in production of lime-magnesia fluxes for steel making. Method involves combined grinding of the charge components, the base of which is dolomite and iron-containing material, which regulates the roasting temperature, drying, calcination and granulation of the mixture in a tubular rotary furnace, and cooling of the product. Additionally fluorocarbon-containing wastes of electrolytic production of aluminium in amount of 0.075÷0.175 wt. % are supplied to the charge in terms of fluorine. At that, firing temperature of charge is reduced by 10÷15 °C for each 0.075 wt. % of fluorine fed with said wastes.
EFFECT: invention enables complex and non-waste processing of fluorocarbon-containing wastes from electrolytic production of aluminium to obtain iron-rich dolomite with high consumer properties, to reduce prime cost of production of fermented dolomite and to increase its quality by improvement of granulometric composition of iron-rich dolomite due to reduction of content of fine fractions in it.
