FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine and concerns a method for increasing the expression of the sirtuin gene SIRT 7 in mammalian cells, including bringing these cells into contact with at least one oligonucleotide that is 10 to 30 nucleotides in length, which specifically hybridizes with the natural antisense sequence of SEQ ID NO: 23, thus increasing the expression of the polynucleotide of the sirtuin SIRT7 gene in mammalian cells. Also this group of inventions relates to an oligonucleotide that enhances the expression of the sirtuin SIRT7 gene, which is between 10 and 30 nucleotides in length and contains at least one modification.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides increased expression of the sirtuin gene SIRT 7 in mammalian cells.
