FIELD: medicine; pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a pharmaceutical delivery system. Method involves formation of calcium carbonate with a reaction-modified surface, which is a product of reaction of natural ground or precipitated calcium carbonate with carbon dioxide and one or more acids in an aqueous medium, wherein carbon dioxide is formed in-situ during acid treatment and/or is supplied from an external source. Said calcium carbonate is mixed with pharmaceutically active agent and auxiliary additive, the mixture is compacted by means of roller compactor at pressing pressure from 4 to 20 bar, then, compacted by rolling method is pressed to produce pharmaceutical delivery system, which is a tablet, mini-tablet, capsule or granule.
EFFECT: use of calcium carbonate with a reaction-modified surface provides improved brittleness and flowability of the pharmaceutical delivery system.
