SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a solid form of a compound of gadobenate dimeglum of the formula given below, which can be used for preparing injectable contrast preparations in the field of diagnostic imaging. Method includes steps a)-c). At step a) obtaining a solution of gadobenate dimeglumine in solvent A, selected from water, aqueous solvents, organic solvents having logP value equal to or less than -0.5, and mixtures thereof, where the amount by weight of water, optionally present in the solution, is not more than the amount by weight of gadolenate dmegglumaine contained in the solution, or less than such amount. At step b) adding the obtained solution to the anti-solubiliser B is carried out in order to obtain a solid form of dadergelamine gadobenate. At step c) the obtained solid substance is separated.

EFFECT: disclosed method enables to obtain dadegelum gadobenate in solid and conveniently filtered physical form with high output and purity.
