FIELD: astronautics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerospace engineering and can be used to provide guidance of a manned spacecraft by the crew moving relative to a moving ship. Orientation of the equipment carried on board the manned spacecraft (MSC) includes determining the position of the landmark and the moving equipment (ME) relative to the MSC, determination of reference position relative to ME, determination and reproduction of command information. Additionally, atmosphere density is measured and predicted at MSC orbit altitude, centre of mass position and angular position of MSC are measured and predicted, taking into account errors of determination and prediction of position of centre of mass and angular position of MSC, current and predetermined on given time interval boundaries of location area of reference point relative to MSC, determining and reproducing command information in series for transferring the MSC to the required location and for turning the MSC into the required angular positions. Required ME location is defined in the MSC coordinate system as the vertex of the cone, the side surface of which touches the location area of the reference point relative to the MSC and is at least a distance from the MSC structural elements opaque for the detected ME radiation. Required angular positions of the ME are determined by the positions of the axis of view of the ME with respect to the MSC and are selected based on the condition of covering the field of view of the ME with the area of orientation relative to the MSC. In the moments when the viewing axis of the user agent is located in the area enclosed by the said cone, commands for control of the user agent are generated.

EFFECT: accounting for the error in determining the position of the landmark relative the manned spacecraft while ensuring guaranteed control of the operation of the equipment freely movable relative to the manned spacecraft and oriented along the specified landmarks.
