METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF CORONARY CATASTROPHE OUTCOME IN PATIENTS WITH ISCHEMIC HEART DISEASE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2694122 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to therapy and cardiology. Basal and middle segments of the interventricular septum and the posterior wall of the left ventricle are measured by echocardiography. If the measured values are unequal, a favorable outcome is predicted in case of a coronary catastrophe. If the measured parameters are equal, the internal contour of the free wall of the left ventricle is compared with the image obtained in the apical two-chamber position in the process of echocardiography with a logarithmic curve with a wave angle equal to the inclination angle of the earth's axis from the ecliptic axis, and an inevitable lethal outcome is predicted in case of a coronary catastrophe. If observing that the internal contour of the free wall of the left ventricle in the apical two-chamber position is not described by a logarithmic curve with a curl angle equal to the angle of inclination of the earth's axis from the axis of the ecliptic and the thickness of the basal and middle segments of the interventricular septum, the posterior wall of the left ventricle of the heart is equal, the inevitable lethal outcome is predicted in case of coronary catastrophe.

EFFECT: method simplifies forecasting coronary catastrophe outcome in patients with ischemic heart disease, higher rate of method implementation and forecast with preservation of high prediction accuracy, as well as broader functional capabilities of the method.
