SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a core of sandwich panels made from fibers of mineral wool from a product of hardened mineral fibers, the method comprising steps of: providing availability of product from hardened mineral fibers of double density, containing upper layer containing mineral fibers with first density, and base layer containing mineral fibers with second density, which is at least twice less than said first density, wherein said upper layer and said base layer have different fiber orientations; said product is cut from mineral fibers into a group of lamellae, said lamellae are turned through 90°; lamellae are again connected so that upper layers with high density are oriented vertically.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing a core of a sandwich panel of mineral wool fibers.
