FIELD: material processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the connection of surfaces of two or more elements to each other, wherein at least one of two or more elements is an element of mineral wool, as well as to a product of mineral wool manufactured by the specified method. The specified elements of mineral wool are bonded with a binder for mineral wool. The method for binding surfaces of two or more elements to each other includes following stages: provision of two or more elements; application of adhesive to one or more surfaces to be connected before, during or after bringing surfaces to be connected into contact with each other; curing of adhesive. Adhesive contains at least one protein and at least one phenol- and/or quinone-containing compound, and/or at least one enzyme. Moreover, the content of phenol- and/or quinone-containing compound in adhesive is from 1 to 70 wt. % of the dry weight of protein. At least one enzyme was selected from a group consisting of transglutaminase (EC 2.3.2.13), protein disulfide isomerase (EC 5.3.4.1), thiol oxidase (EC 1.8.3.2), polyphenol oxidase (EC 1.14.18.1), in particular catechol oxidase, tyrosine oxidase and phenol oxidase, lysyl oxidase (EC 1.4.3.13) and peroxidase (EC 1.11.1.7).

EFFECT: reduction in exposure to hazardous substances during production, provision of a method for binding surfaces of two or more elements to each other, where at least one of two or more elements is an element of mineral wool.
