FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention describes use of a reaction product containing a quaternary nitrogen compound, wherein the reaction product is obtained by reacting a quaternary nitrogen compound containing at least one quaternary compound, in particular, a tertiary, amino group, with a quaternisation apparatus which converts at least one quaternary, in particular a tertiary, amino group, to a quaternary ammonium group, wherein the quaternisation apparatus is hydrocarbyleneepoxide in combination with a substituted hydrocarbyl free polycarboxylic acid, as an additive to fuels, lubricants or kerosene, wherein the quaternary nitrogen compound is selected from a group comprising: at least one alkylamine of the following general formula (3): RaRbRcN (3), in which at least one of the residues Ra, Rb and Rc is a straight or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbyl residue with 8–40 carbon atoms (in particular, straight or branched alkyl with 8–40 carbon atoms), and other residues are identical or different, unbranched or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbyl residues with 1–6 carbon atoms (particularly alkyls with 1–6 carbon atoms), or in which all residues Ra, Rb and Rc are identical or different unbranched or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbyl residues with 8–40 carbon atoms, in particular straight-chain or branched alkyls with 8–40 carbon atoms. Also disclosed is the use of a partial fraction of the reaction product, a quaternary compound, a method of producing a quaternary compound, an additive concentrate and a fuel, lubricant or kerosene composition.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of amount of deposits, fuel consumption and minimization of power losses.
