FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to layer-by-layer synthesis of composite molds from sand-polymer mixtures. Method includes layer-by-layer program-computer simulation of article, preparation of sand, layer-by-layer deposition of sand on substrate and layer-selective treatment of each layer, in accordance with computer sections of model to formation of programmed shape of article, wherein sand preparation is carried out in a preparation bin by mixing sand with a catalyst in form of para-toluene sulphonic acid, wherein during application of each sand layer, vibration is applied to the entire volume of the sand mixture in the hopper, and layer-by-layer selective treatment of each layer is performed until the mixture hardens to layer depth in two stages, wherein first treatment of each applied layer is carried out by program-regulated injection of composition based on furfuryl alcohol in prepared sand layer of single unit cross section, and upon completion of treatment with furfuryl alcohol-based composition each layer is subjected to heat treatment.
EFFECT: technical result is high strength of articles with high production speed, quality of casting and shorter time for manufacturing emission of hazardous substances into environment.
