FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing an article of complex shape from a sand-polymer mixture and may find application in various branches of engineering, for example, in manufacture of molds and cores of particularly complex configuration for the aviation, automotive, shipbuilding and other industries. Layer-selective processing of the sand-polymer mixture is carried out before the mixture hardens to the depth of the layer in two stages. First, the sand is mixed with a polymer or oligomeric composition in the preparation bunker. Resulting sand-polymer mixture is applied to the substrate. Then the treatment is carried out on each applied layer by software-regulated introduction of a chemical reagent by injection into the sand layer. After completion of treatment with each chemical reagent, each layer is heat treated to accelerate the polymerization process and increase the strength of the product. Heat treatment is carried out either by infrared emitters, or by laser, or other remote methods of heat exposure. Sand preparation is carried out until dispersion is not more than half the thickness of the applied single layer.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention consists in obtaining casting molds, parts of casting molds and cores of medium complexity, complex and extremely complex configuration in a short time with high mechanical characteristics, low gas-making ability and high gas permeability.
