FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry engineering and can be used in making foundry mold of complex geometry from sand-polymer mixes. Method involves creation of a three-dimensional computer model of a layer-by-layer made foundry mold, preparation of sand till dispersity of not more than one-third of thickness of the applied layer, mixing of sand with a catalyst in a preparation bunker. Obtained mixture is deposited on the substrate and layer-selective curing of each layer is performed at layer depth in two stages. First, polymer binder is added to each applied layer by spraying it into sand layer with catalyst. After the binder treatment, each layer is subjected to laser processing along the contour of the produced cross-section.
EFFECT: reduced time for making foundry molds, high quality of casts with reduced emission of hazardous substances into the environment.
