SUBSTANCE: method implemented during blowing comprises the following stages, at which: a) detecting at time t0 that blowdown valve is open, b) performing, at time t2, forced closing of said valve, c) measuring pressure P1m in inlet manifold and calculating corresponding simulated pressure P1c at moment t1 between moment t0 and moment t2, d) measuring collector pressure P2m and calculating corresponding simulated pressure P2c at time t3 after moment t2, e) calculating deviation E1 between P1m and P1c and calculating deviation E2 between P2m and P2c, f) calculating criterion C = E1 - E2, g) disturbing the operation of said purge valve if criterion C is less than a predetermined threshold value Cs.
EFFECT: object of the invention is a method for diagnosing the operation of a vent valve of a fuel vapour filter of an internal combustion engine.
