FIELD: computer equipment.

SUBSTANCE: autostereoscopic display comprises an imaging system comprising background illumination, a beam control system and a pixel spatial light modulator; and a controller for controlling the imaging system depending on the image to be displayed; wherein controller is configured to provide at least two display output modes, each of which generates at least two views: a first display output mode, in which the section or the entire displayed image has a first viewing angle resolution; a second display output mode, in which the portion or the entire displayed image has a second viewing angle resolution greater than the first viewing angle resolution, and corresponding beam control system provides smaller expansion of output beam than in first display output mode, wherein first display output mode is applied to entire displayed image, or the second display output mode is applied to the entire displayed image, wherein the second display output mode is designed to display a smaller number of views than the first display output mode.

EFFECT: technical result consists in displaying various graphic content with different resolution on the viewing angle.
