SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for detecting and tracking scratches of a vehicle and a vehicle. On the vehicle there are insulated wires arranged under the external surface, a communication device, a camera to capture the image of the area near the outer surface, and a scratch sensor. Scratch sensor in the vehicle detects a scratch on the outer surface when at least one of the insulated wires is engaged, and sends, via communication device, a signal to activate the camera in response to the fact that the scratch sensor detects a scratch.

EFFECT: possibility of reliable tracking of scratches appearing on a vehicle.
