FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of determining and tracking an event for a physical object. Data processing device receives data indicating a feature of the physical medium for the physical object. User device is provided with data which instructs the user device to display a menu of action initiators which displays a corresponding event selection input for each of a plurality of events associated with a feature of the physical medium and displays only the first set of actions that can be associated with events. Data processing device receives data indicating a selection on the user device of an event from said plurality of events associated with said feature of the physical medium. Receiving by means of data processing device data indicating an action tied to event to be performed in response to occurrence of event, wherein the action is determined by the user and is independent of the event for a feature of the physical environment and independent of the physical object, and is also not an action included in said first set of actions. Occurrence of an event for a physical object is monitored. In response to occurrence of event, it is prescribed to perform event-bound action.

EFFECT: technical result consists in enabling connection of several physical objects to several different possible events and several different actions.
