FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to versions of a method of determining speed from video. Method includes steps on which special points are selected on the display of moving objects and the pixel shift of said points is evaluated when passing to the next frames. Pixels lying at the intersection of a pair of display contours of one moving object are received as singular points. Pair of contours can include time-shifted images on adjacent frames and/or in pixel field space on one frame.
EFFECT: enabling more accurate and fast determination of object motion speed on video.
