METHOD FOR ASSESSING TREATMENT EFFECTIVENESS IN RETINAL DETACHMENT IN PATIENTS WITH TAMPONADE WITH SILICONE OIL AND IMPAIRED TRANSPARENCY OF EYE OPTICAL MEDIA Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B8/10

Abstract RU 2696041 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to radiation diagnostics and ophthalmology, and can be used for assessment of clinical effectiveness in retinal detachment in patients with tamponade with silicone oil and violation of transparency of eye optical media. Eye is ultrasonicated with a linear sensor at frequency of 12 MHz. When visualizing the boundary of silicone oil and intraocular fluid in the form of a hyperechoic clear line of regular shape equidistant from the retina in all departments, the treatment is considered to be effective. And when observing the detached retina in the form of a dense linear hyperechogenic shade in at least one area adjacent to the inner surface of the eyeball, the treatment is considered to be ineffective.

EFFECT: method provides more accurate visualization of the posterior segment of the eye in the given group of patients by selecting the optimal resolution of ultrasonic sensors of a certain frequency and determining objective criteria for assessing the clinical effectiveness.
